At My Art Studio, we are teacher led and student driven. We provide engaging lessons focusing on traditional as well as innovative techniques to guide and empower our young artists on their unique creative journey. Through our dynamic projects, kiddos learn the fundamental elements of drawing and painting while keeping the pulse on what art is all about: exploration, process, and self-expression.

I wasn't sure how my son would feel about an after-school art class but I thought it would be good for him so I signed him up. I was blown away by how much he loved it! Every day when I came to pick him up, he would still have his head down, totally absorbed in his work, trying to make a few last changes before leaving. He was so proud of his finished pieces, which are beautiful and interesting and worthy of being framed! This has been an extremely worthwhile and beneficial experience for him and I'll definitely bring him back for more.

Kristin Malko is a Los Angeles based painter, actress and mom of 3, originally from Hillsborough, New Jersey. Kristin has been an artist since she could hold a crayon and has implemented and infused her love of the arts in all that she does. A firm believer that flexing our creativity not only changes the way we see ourselves and the world around us, but getting out of our heads and into our hands has incredible therapeutic benefits in helping us regulate our emotions, creating more inner peace and joy.

With a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, NY, Kristin has extensive experience in realistic drawing and painting as well as abstract. Her approach to teaching art comes from her love of fostering her own childrens' artistic expression, voice, and identity through a positive and encouraging learning environment.
